Branch handoffs for teams
Know exactly where a branch stands, down to the line.
CodeRelay watches your GitHub branches. On every push it writes the handoff brief, reviews the changed code line by line with a fix attached to each finding, and moves the sprint board forward using the task token in your commit message.
- Every push, automatically
- A fix with every finding
- Progress from commits
What happens on every push
- 01
Handoff brief
What was done, what did not work, the rough edges, and the next step - drawn from the commits, the diff, the pull request discussion and any notes left on the branch.
- 02
Line-level review
Each changed file is read line by line. A finding names the file, the line, what is wrong, what happens at runtime because of it, and the corrected code.
- 03
Sprint progress
A task is a dated plan of work items. The assignee puts the task token in the commit message and the board reads progress back out of the commits.
A finding, in full
The reviewer checks the language dictionary and the symbols you actually declared before it says anything. Nothing here is a summary of the diff.
prinf is not defined - did you mean printf?
4 prinf("hello\n");- What is wrong
prinfis called here but it is not a function in C, and nothing in this change declares it. The standard library functionprintfdiffers by one character, so this reads as a typing slip. As written, the file fails at compile time with an implicit-declaration error.- How to fix it
- Change
prinftoprintfon line 4, and confirmstdio.his included.
Corrected line
printf("hello\n");It checks before it complains
A misspelling and a custom function look identical to a spell checker. They do not look identical to a symbol table.
#include <stdio.h>
int main(void) {
prinf("hello\n");
return 0;
}#include <stdio.h>
void prinf(const char *message);
int main(void) {
prinf("hello");
return 0;
}
